Who we are
Launchese Ltd is the data controller for Overseas Verify. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as ZB591960, supervised by HMRC for anti-money-laundering purposes under XQML00000211193, and registered with Companies House as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider. Registered office: 24–26 Arcadia Avenue, FIN009, London, N3 2JU. Contact: help@launchese.com.
What we collect, and why
To verify your identity for Companies House we collect your account details (email address), your order details (name, date of birth, nationality, residential address, phone number, the plan you chose), the outcome of your identity checks including the text details extracted from your identity document, and your proof-of-address document. We use this data to deliver the service you bought, to meet our legal duties under UK anti-money-laundering law, and to file your verification with Companies House as your authorised agent.
Your ID document and selfie
The photos of your identity document and your selfie are captured by and processed on the systems of our specialist identity verification partner, ComplyCube. They never touch our servers and we never store the images: we receive the results of the checks and the extracted text. Your proof-of-address document (for example a bank statement) is stored by us as compliance evidence, and is read with the help of an AI service (Anthropic) under an agreement that forbids using your data to train its models.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number never reaches us and we cannot see it; we hold only the payment status and reference needed to run your order and any refund.
Who we share data with
Only what each step needs: ComplyCube for identity checks, Stripe for payment, Companies House for the filing you asked us to make, our email provider (Brevo) for the messages the service sends you, ElevenLabs for the help assistant on our pages, and the hosting infrastructure the service runs on, which is located in London for UK data residency. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
UK anti-money-laundering law requires us to keep customer due diligence records for 7 years. That legal duty means we cannot delete your verification records on request during that period, even if we would otherwise be happy to.
Marketing
Marketing email is sent only with your opt-in, and every message includes an unsubscribe link. There are no advertising trackers and we never sell your data.
The help assistant
Emma, the help bubble in the corner of our pages, is an AI assistant run for us by ElevenLabs, who act as our processor. What you type, and your voice if you choose to talk to it, is recorded and stored so that it can answer you and so we can see where people get stuck. It is never on the pages where you photograph your document or upload your proof of address. Please do not type or read out your passport number to it, and if you would rather speak to a person, just say so.
Cookies and measurement
The storefront sets the cookies it needs to work: your sign-in session and your language choice. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
We count page views using Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not follow you between websites, and we strip the web address of anything private before it is recorded, so your order links are never sent.
If you agree, we also use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics. Clarity records how people move around the pages, so we can find what confuses them. Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages people arrive on. Microsoft and Google act as our processors. Neither loads at all unless you choose “Allow” on the cookie bar, and you can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Clarity is never used on the pages where you enter your personal details, and we remove anything private from the web address before it is sent to either of them, so your order links are never shared.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, object to or restrict processing, and (outside the records the law obliges us to keep) ask us to delete it. Write to help@launchese.com and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
